Fire Starter
TINDER CAKES If you want a handy fire-starter to use on a camping trip, or maybe just to start your BBQ without chemicals, try making some of these "Tinder Cakes". Start with a muffin pan that has cupcake papers inserted, then fill each paper with sawdust. Now pour some melted paraffin or candle wax into the sawdust. Let them harden and they're ready to use. If you only fill each paper about an inch deep, then you can fold the paper around the 'cake' and use it to light the 'cake'. Not only will these work good on a hunting trip, but also in the fireplace or wood-burning stove.
